Ostendio team members had a change of pace on Thursday morning when we volunteered with Food For Others in Fairfax. Instead of cybersecurity challenges we helped Food For Others as they support families and children in our community. Food for Others distributes food to more than 1,800 local families in need each week.
“This was a great way for our team to work together and help a local organization,” said Ostendio CEO, Grant Elliott. “We are proud to be members of Pledge 1% and volunteer our staff time.” Ostendio put together more than 800 bags of food known as "power packs" designed to get elementary-school-age children through a weekend where they might otherwise not have enough food.
As a Pledge 1% company, Ostendio commits to give 1% of our product, profit, time and equity to causes that meet this commitment. In addition to direct donations, we provide our Integrated Risk Management solution, MyVCM, at a reduced price or free of charge to qualifying non-profits and give our employees paid time off to volunteer.
