What has your experience been with our company culture?

I knew I wanted to work at Ostendio after my first interview with Miranda; she was super down-to-earth with a lovely accent :). The interviews that followed were awesome too. I realized it was a place that welcomed individual contributions and offered room for growth if you were willing to put in the work. That was exactly the kind of culture I was looking for...not the bean bags, game rooms, or the nitro coffee...but the opportunity to work alongside industry experts who pride themselves in delivering excellent service. The Ostendo Core Values were clear from the beginning and management has lived up and continues to live up to them every day. Today, I am so grateful for Ebony and our growing HR team for bringing that zeal that makes Ostendio a great place to work.

What are some things you’ve noticed about our leadership team?

They don't micro-manage because they trust you will deliver on your word. If you are lost, they are always there to walk you through a solution. There is no red tape or limit on curiosity.

What parts of our mission do you connect with?

Helping our clients grow their businesses while collaborating with them to establish a strong security posture is the most rewarding part of my job.

What have been your biggest accomplishments on our team?

Developing my project management skills in an industry that most people in an organization haven't even heard of has been my biggest accomplishment. Before Ostendio, I worked in HR and people management but never had I dug into the weeds of business security and compliance. With all the shifts in business operations in the last couple of years, I am truly loving my job!

Who are some of your biggest inspirations within the company?

Michelle Moreno was not only my manager but my mentor. She trusted in my abilities to work alongside her in the Professional Services team and always allowed me to take on new projects I was curious about. She is an inspiration and a true example of first-class leadership and client support excellence.

What kinds of resources have you taken advantage of while on our team?

Unfortunately, because of Covid, I didn't get to work in the office with the DC team long enough to enjoy the "in-person" volunteer activities: But I appreciate the opportunity to participate in virtual activities and also have paid time off to volunteer with organizations I am passionate about. Ostendio has also been supportive of my career growth, sponsoring me to take project management courses. Every day I am able to apply what I've learned, and I am lucky to have a management team that believes in me.

How have you grown professionally while on our team?

Working for Ostendio has helped me develop my leadership and public speaking skills in the security and compliance sector. As the project manager for Professional Services engagements, I work directly with our client's top leadership to help execute their project needs and identify areas of growth they may not even know about.
