Sales Development Specialist

Job Description:

Are you ready for an exciting role in a fast paced start up? Ostendio is a rapidly growing and dynamic Software-as- a-Service (SaaS) company that helps businesses manage their cybersecurity, risk and compliance. We are looking for a Sales Development Specialist to join our growing team.


Sales Development Specialists are the revenue-generating engine of our business. They are responsible for sourcing, calling and qualifying prospective clients, building a robust pipeline and arranging demonstrations. The majority of business will be conducted via phone and email.


Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Exceed monthly quota objectives through outbound sales activities
  • Assist managing pipeline opportunities
  • Prospect into multiple organizations through Gmail, iContact and LinkedIn
  • Meet internal metrics including: call volume, number of opportunities, dollars in pipeline, and closed business
  • Qualify business opportunities by proactively initiating outbound calls to senior level management and probing prospects to determine needs.
  • Manage prospect information using Ostendio’s customer relationship management system
  • Arrange appointments to demonstrate our services to qualified prospects
  • Optimize productivity and follow up on all leads in a timely manner

Qualifications/Education Requirements:

  • 3-12 months recent experience selling B2B is an advantage
  • Strong track record of success in previous roles, be a self-starter and be accountable for your own success
  • Highly motivated and professional with excellent communication skills, highly confident and goal oriented
  • Experience with MS Office products and CRM systems such as Insightly a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Major or minor in Business preferred

  • Strong persuasion skills
  • Energetic phone presence and excellent active listening skills
  • Proven success at building and maintaining relationships
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ethics, trustworthy and honesty is required
